Separate coverage from internet speed

A fast internet plan does not fix weak Wi-Fi in another room. Review coverage, connected devices, walls, and the existing router before selecting equipment.

Choose wired paths for fixed devices

Computers, cameras, access points, and AV equipment may benefit from dedicated cable runs. Plan outlet locations and pathways alongside wireless coverage.

Allow for power and growth

Check switch port count, PoE needs, rack space, and room for future devices. Business and guest networks may need separate access policies.

What affects the project cost?

Product pages show equipment prices. Installation, configuration, or other service is included only when expressly listed; otherwise it is quoted separately. Applicable tax and delivery charges are shown separately in the final total.

Cable route and quantity: The number, length, accessibility, and construction conditions of cable runs determine much of the installation scope.
Network equipment: Routers, switches, access points, racks, patch panels, and PoE capacity are selected around the connected devices.
Configuration and documentation: Segmentation, guest access, labeling, testing, and integration with cameras or AV systems affect setup work.

Get a quote built around your requirements.

Send photos or a layout, existing equipment model numbers, your priorities, and the project location. Valence will confirm the equipment, service work, preparation, exclusions, and delivery or installation arrangements in the quote.

Share the project location when requesting service. On-site availability, scheduling, and travel requirements are confirmed during quoting. Equipment delivery destinations and charges are confirmed separately at checkout or by delivery quote.

Before you choose

Will a new router fix weak Wi-Fi everywhere?

Not necessarily. Coverage depends on placement, walls, interference, device density, and the layout. Additional access points and wired connections may be more suitable than replacing only the router.

Should I use Ethernet or Wi-Fi?

Use the required speed, reliability, mobility, and installation access to decide. Fixed cameras, access points, workstations, and AV equipment often benefit from Ethernet; mobile devices still need suitable Wi-Fi coverage.

What information is needed for a network quote?

Send a layout or photos, existing router and switch models, approximate device counts, problem areas, and desired cable outlet locations. Include the project location and any business downtime restrictions.
