Identify what you want to simplify: lighting, climate, shades, entry, or entertainment. Start with daily routines rather than buying unrelated smart devices.

Device models, communication standards, app requirements, and hub support must be checked together. Products labeled smart are not automatically compatible.

Plan controls for everyone using the property and decide what should still work manually or when internet access is unavailable.

Budget and scope

What affects the project cost?

Product pages show equipment prices. Installation, configuration, or other service is included only when expressly listed; otherwise it is quoted separately. Applicable tax and delivery charges are shown separately in the final total.

Devices and zones
The number of rooms, lighting circuits, shades, locks, sensors, and controllers affects the equipment scope.
Wiring and network readiness
Power, existing wiring, wireless coverage, and controller placement may need work before automation is reliable.
Programming and handover
Scenes, schedules, user access, integrations, testing, and a walkthrough determine the configuration scope.

Get a quote built around your requirements.

Send photos or a layout, existing equipment model numbers, your priorities, and the project location. Valence will confirm the equipment, service work, preparation, exclusions, and delivery or installation arrangements in the quote.

Share the project location when requesting service. On-site availability, scheduling, and travel requirements are confirmed during quoting. Equipment delivery destinations and charges are confirmed separately at checkout or by delivery quote.

Can different smart-home brands work together?

Some combinations can, but support depends on the exact devices, hubs, platforms, and functions. Share model numbers before buying so compatibility can be reviewed.

Can I start with one room and expand later?

A phased project can be planned around a compatible platform and network foundation. Confirm the expansion plan first so early choices do not unnecessarily limit later rooms or features.

Does every smart device need a subscription?

Subscription requirements vary by product and feature. Check the manufacturer’s terms and the selected system before purchase; ongoing fees should be identified in the project scope.
